Her Own Thing exists for women with real-world expertise who want to own technology instead of only building someone else's. Founder Studio, our first product, starts with fashion: an industry full of women who understand the customer better than anyone building for her.
I studied fashion design and fashion marketing, then spent years working in fashion retail. I worked primarily in fit, from bra fittings to denim fittings.
That hands-on experience is what led me to help women find their correct size when shopping online. I later built a fashion tech startup from that same sizing expertise while learning finance, product and UX design at JPMorgan Chase. I also went through 2 tech accelerators for women, partnered with Levi's on a virtual fitting hackathon, and have been in UX Design and Product Strategy for nearly 6 years. I paused the startup because the tech hasn't caught up to the vision yet, and decided to take what I'd learned about finance and build into fintech.
Now I build in fintech, study fashion-tech, and teach the method I use professionally. Founder Studio is that method, rewritten for women with expertise and no permission slip.
